The South Dakota EMS Association (SDEMSA) is having a fundraiser golf tournament, open to the public, to come together and support EMS providers. It is also an opportunity for pre-hospital providers from our communities to relax and relieve some stress while having a bit of fun for a good cause.
This tournament is a fundraising event for the continued support of EMS within our state. There has been a national campaign on suicide awareness with public safety. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder has come into the spotlight with the events we encounter in serving others. The funds are allocated to support EMS practitioners the opportunity to attend an event at no cost, supporting their mental health and ability to provide excellent care.
Most EMS providers in our state are volunteer and have educational requirements to maintain their certification. The SDEMSA helps EMS providers around the state with educational opportunities throughout the year. We would appreciate your support of this event and the EMS providers around the state.
